Terra Felix
Introduction
Terra Felix Winery, a vibrant new winery in the wine region of central Victoria, Australia. In 2018, it became a five-star winery. The current well-known varieties of the winery include the common Chardonnay, Syrah, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier.

Colour

Nose
Raspberry, black cherry, aniseed, dried herbs and spices.
Palate
Round, soft supple tannins, intense rick black fruits laced with notes of thyme, cloves and liquorice. Strong, bold acidity Providing length, finishes fresh with luscious red fruits.
Winemaking
This Shiraz is made predominately from fruit grown in the premium regions of Heathcote and The Grampians. The Grampians region of Victoria is renowned as one of the best Shiraz growing regions in Australia, with its Mediterranean climate and cooling influence of the Southern Ocean. Fruit was harvested once a balance between sweet fruit flavours, ripe tannins and natural acidity were achieved. Various winemaking techniques were used, with some of the fruit crushed and then fermented, while a small por tion of whole berries were fermented. Once fermentation was finished, the wine was matured in both stainless steel and French oak barriques, allowing the wine to retain its fresh, fruit-driven characteristics and develop some extra complexity and spiced elements before final blending, gentle filtration and bottling.
Vintage Report
The 2014 vintage provided good conditions for grape growing, with a reasonably warm season. Due to a cold snap in Spring, the crops were low in volume but high in quality, resulting in fruit with intense flavours and complexity.
